Holidays are a time for family, friends, and traditions. Many people include their four-legged family members in their celebrations, whether it be a puppy dressed up in an adorable holiday outfit or enjoying tasty homemade holiday dog treats with the family around the dinner table.
Dogs offer us unconditional love and a break from our everyday routine. When the holiday season rolls around, we are given an even greater opportunity to show our appreciation for these remarkable animals.
One of the best things about incorporating puppies into our holiday celebrations is that they love being included! Whether you are celebrating your first Christmas with your puppy or have older pets, each moment spent with them is an extra dose of cheer that helps remind us how truly thankful we should be for all of life's little blessings.

This will be my first holidays with these pups, but I teach all my pups how to open gifts from Santa Paws. Watching them tear apart the wrapping paper with excitement is hilarious!
Katie & Buddy - Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mixes
Colette Turner, Copywriter
We bake yummy oatmeal cookies for the pups to enjoy and they each get their own stocking filled with treats and new toys to tear apart.
Evie - Pug, Lincoln - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Courtney Dean, Social Engagement Director
Santa Paws visits them every year and fills their stocking with treats and toys! Lincoln's birthday is Christmas Day so he gets double the presents!
Maxx - Rat Terrier
Kelly Wicoff, Puppy Concierge
Maxx wears festive sweaters and enjoys laying on warm blankets by the fireplace. He always opens his own gifts.
Bowie - Golden Retriever
Lucy Hughes, Brand Journalist
This year will be Bowie’s third Christmas with us. We always try to get a picture with some sort of Christmas accessory, but he always tries to remove it as soon as he can! We buy treats from a local rescue for their fundraiser. Bowie gets an entire stocking full of toys he can’t destroy, bones, even more treats, and various other items like a new brush. He got new buffalo plaid Christmas jammies this year which he tolerated for exactly 5 minutes. We also love to take Bowie on neighborhood walks where he makes friends with inflatable decorations. He was scared at first but has gotten used to walking by a house with 26 inflatables – progress!
Waylon - Bernese Mountain Dog and Dolly Parton - Corgi
Shannon Gegor, Travel Manager
They get their own stockings.
Norman & Millie - Mini Goldendoodles
Tara Mir, Puppy Concierge
Some Christmas traditions are definitely lots of gifts – tennis balls, bones, stuffed animals, and other treats! Definitely their own stocking, and their own little Christmas dinner plate! Quite honestly, we spend more on them than anyone else, and I get so excited at the thought of my puppies getting excited at new toys!
Pancakes, Loa, Waffles, Simba - cats, Porter - (Border Collie/Chow Chow)
Sandra Turner, Breeder Liaison
I bake special treats for my dog and love taking pictures of them, especially around the holidays. Around Christmas time we make ornaments for them and cuddle on the couch with a good Christmas movie.
Lucifer “Louie” - English Bulldog and Otis “Odor” - English Bulldog
Kenny Thomas, Sales/Puppy Concierge
Every year around Christmas I like to make my Bulldogs some Christmas treats from scratch while the family makes Christmas cookies for our guests. This year I bought cookie cutters that are shaped like Bulldogs to use while making their treats & I can’t wait to try them out! My Bulldogs also get their own stockings stuffed with toys & treats.
Penny - Puggle and Jables - Pit mix
Tania Moss, Program Director
Our pets get their own plethora of Christmas presents and their own stocking filled with treats and toys. We like to dress them up to show off to the family, too.
Nox - Mini Australian Shepherd
Destiny Freeman, Customer Concierge
We go see the lights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, have a Christmas movie night in matching PJs, and we bake special treats!
