Pets fill a space in our hearts that nothing else can. They are our best friends, our confidantes, and we couldn’t imagine life any other way. In the holiday season of hustle and bustle, our Pawrade Team takes a few moments to share why we are thankful for our present and past furbabies.

Colette Turner, Copywriter, Katie and Buddy- Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mixes

They are our best friends. I've had Katie since she was a baby. She is 15 years old now and is the best dog I could have ever asked for. We got Buddy as a friend for Katie about 7 years ago, and he is 100% Dad's buddy and follows him everywhere. They love the kids as if they were their own. Buddy loves to cuddle with them! They keep us laughing! Both dogs are always wrestling and play fighting or stealing the other’s bed. They are up for anything (except bath time). All you have to say is GO, RIDE, or WALK and they will be at the door waiting.

Laughter is the best medicine. We all need it and dogs definitely provide us with ample material for a good chuckle throughout the day. Unconditional love.

Lucy Hughes, Brand Journalist, Bowie - Golden Retriever

Mr. Bonejangles, a.k.a. Bowie, is such a joy in our lives. He is the stereotypical pandemic puppy, so we've worked extra hard to get him well-socialized. He was my 40th birthday present and was just what the whole family needed to lift our spirits. Bowie makes us laugh every day. He's the best snuggler and walking buddy, and he knows how to give hugs and kisses when you need them the most. We love our Bowie!

I am thankful for each of my pets because they all have different and unique personalities. My animals are my babies and they each hold a special place in my heart.

Courtney Dean, Social Engagement Director, Evie - Pug, Lincoln - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Even though my two furbabies drive me crazy some days barking every sound they hear, it's all worth it for the snuggles. They always know when I need them the most and I never have to ask, they just know...I am also thankful that there are always two little faces staring out the window waiting for me to come home. They bring so much joy to my life.

Tara Mir, Puppy Concierge, Norman & Millie - Mini Goldendoodles

Norman is my sweet baby boy, and he just turned 5 this year. Words can never truly describe the full meaning behind why he is so special to me, but not only was he the first dog I got with my fiancé, but he was also the first dog that was mine. He was given to me at a time in our lives when we needed him the most, and he is, has been, and will always be my son through and through. I am forever grateful for his loving, goofy, and rambunctious personality on top of countless other things. I could talk about him for hours!

For my sweet Millie, my fiancé and I got her out of the blue off pure impulsion through Pawrade. From the 60-hour round trip drive to and from Indiana to get her on no sleep to our daily routines, it ended up being one of the best decisions we've ever made! She wakes me up as my alarm clock every single morning, and at night time she curls up at my side without a second thought. I've never known a dog to just be as overly sweet as she is, and I'm constantly blown away by how lucky we were to get her. I'm grateful for her astonishing love, her paws for attention, and her love of balls. I'm grateful that it brought me to this amazing job opportunity within Pawrade!

Before starting at Pawrade, my fiancé lost his childhood dog. I was blessed with 5 beautiful years with her and not a day goes by when I don't think of her. She was a feisty little Schnauzer full of so much sass and love.

I live up on a mountain and rarely see people, so my pets are my best friends. They bring such joy and tears of laughter. Nothing better than the inside of a man than the outside of a horse!

Kenny Thomas, Sales/Puppy Concierge, Lucifer “Louie” - English Bulldog and Otis “Odor” - English Bulldog

I’ve dreamed of being a Bulldog Dad since I was in the 4th grade. I used to draw Bulldogs in art class when I was in elementary school, they were the mascot for all of my sports teams I played in as a kid, and they were also my middle and high school mascots. It’s also the mascot for the USMC. I come from a family of Marines and have always planned on joining myself. Bulldogs have been the biggest complement to my life and have brought me more love and happiness than anything else ever has. My Bulldogs are my whole world.

Regina Diaddigo, Puppy Concierge, Hulk - Olde English Bulldogge

Hulk reminds me to love and appreciate everything in life – big or small. He also reminds me that we all need structure and play. Too much of one thing and life is not balanced.

Jojo Hess, Sales Stud, Otto - Doberman Pinscher, Milk - Goldendoodle

Otto is the silliest and most fun dog I've ever owned. He makes every day better with his antics! I purchased my second puppy Milk through Pawrade, and I am picking her up the day after Thanksgiving. I bought her brother Blue for my dad as a Christmas gift! I can't wait to meet them!!!

Tania Moss, Program Director, Penny the Puggle and Jables the Pit mix

I'm thankful for each of my furbabies for the love they bring unconditionally. Penny is my son's "after-surgery" gift and brings so much light into his life. They are inseparable. Jables is my good boy and a big baby. He reminds me every day that he is my baby, that he weighs 80 lbs., and does not mind being my lap boy.

Sylvia Donovan, Breeder Liaison, Oreo - Cat

Oreo is the highlight of our family. He checks on the kids when they are sick. He lays down when we watch movies at night. Oreo chose us, and we are so thankful for his companionship!

Destiny Freeman, Customer Concierge, Nox - Mini Australian Shepherd

I have a friend that I can do just about everything with and he won’t talk back (well he does.. but still)! My pup truly knows how to keep a smile on my face, and I am forever thankful for that!

We’re Thankful for Our Pawrade Family

As you gather around your holiday tables in these upcoming weeks, take a moment to appreciate why you are thankful for your 4-legged companion and find ways to express gratitude toward your pets. If you don’t have a best friend in your life yet, we’d love to guide you in finding the perfect puppy for sale.
