We had a wonderful experience aquiring our new family member. The breeder/subcontractor model allowed for us to deal with a lover of dogs and a breeder not trying to monetize a bitch, but to breed puppies for the love of dogs. It was paramount to the breeder that her puppy was placed in a loving home. That was obvious to us when we met the breeder. Mariah was wonderful - and we love Fenway.

The puppy was delivered at 1 am on a workday and had kennel cough. I was told she was house-trained, but she is not. Pawrade and the breeder failed to ask questions about our suitability as pet owners. If you have the money, they will ship you a puppy. I highly doubt that their "no puppy mill" pledge is legitimate.

Service was good, except I requested (twice) that I have a towel or cloth with the mothers sent on it and the puppy arrived without it. Apparently, the breeder did not follow thru with the request. Also, I was unaware that the puppy would be in a crate for over 24 hrs for transport and not let out during the whole time he was being transported.

I am happy with the service that I received from Pawrade. All my questions were answered in a timely manner and it was a pleasant experience. The only problem that I had was the issue about the food for Doug (Dougie). There was very specific instructions about keeping the pup on the breeders food for one year to insure the health warranty. I received mixed information which leaves me with a 15lb bag of $50 food that I can't use. I will explain in detail to a Pawrade customer service liaison via phone. My puppy is perfect.

I'm still coming down from anger, so this is written in that light. I could not get any return emails on my questions prior to going to get "Baxter" (Esteban is a crap name). I had to start driving on Thursday for a 15-hour trip to Missouri, still trying to get answers to my questions on this dog. All I could get was "I'm out of the office today" from both correspondents. I finally got a number of the breeder and had to ask him questions about the dog after I'd already paid and was 3/4 of the way into the trip *(which included a hail storm by the way). I had expected that for an 8-month old dog that he would be potty trained, but the dog I received had been living in a kennel situation most of his life—no skills at all. Had I known, I would have forfeited my money. The breeders were very nice though; we discussed how we were both disappointed in your service. I don't appreciate having to sign up for some bogus medical insurance for this dog—-I know how those organizations work.
