I was so excited initially and had full confidence in Pawrade because of the stellar reviews but it seems like they don't check out their breeders very well. Baja (my puppy) arrived with a 'vaccination record' that was hand written and not from a vet - it looks like the breeder vaccinates the dogs herself but she is not a certified vet. The package that arrived with Baja also included many religious pamphlets which was just bizarre. What's worst of all is that Baja developed a random head tremor which the vet was not able to determine cause of from examining him. I'm taking him back to the vet for further examinations and I foresee many expensive tests.
Response from Pawrade.com:
Puppies are living, breathing animals and things can come up while their futile immune systems are adapting. A puppy's best interest and livelihood will always come first with our puppy first approach. A reputable breeder for whom has a working relationship with their veterinarian may administer their own vaccinations in accordance with their Veterinarian's prescribed approval. This is actually far safer for the puppy's immune system as they are not exposed to the various diseases or contagions from other dogs at vet clinics. Every puppy is required to receive a full head to tail exam and health clearance from a licensed Veterinarian prior to travel. Your 1 star review appears to be related to a misunderstanding of how responsible breeding actually works. We hope there's nothing serious with your pup that would not have been identified prior. If a puppy's glucose levels fall (which is very common in young puppies) then head tremors may certainly be an indication of such. Please ensure your puppy is receiving adequate nutrition as sometimes they tend to work themselves up which can easily cause their futile systems to crash. We educate all buyers on the importance of such.
